Påsken er redda, konsert på John Dee i Oslo onsdag 17.4.19 med The Long Ryders fra Los Angles. 

Sanger, gitarist og komponist Sid Griffin (1955) dannet The Long Ryders i 1983 sammen med Stephen McCarthy (gitar), Des Brewer (bass) og Greg Sowders (trommer). The Long Ryders og Sid Griffin var sterkt påvirket av band som The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, Flying Burrito Brothers osv. Ikke tilfeldig at de valgte å skrive Ryders med Y. Tror også at Sid Griffin elsker ordspill, noe som gir seg uttrykk i gruppa han dannet i 1989, nemlig The Coal Porters hvor navnet kan forveksles med jazzmusikeren Cole Porter (1891 - 1964).

Musikken til The Long Ryders er ganske rocka og i lydbildet er Sid Griffins Rickenbackergitar stadig tilstede. The Coal Porters følger opp musikken til The Ryders, men etterhvert blir Griffins kjærlighet til bluegrass også påvirket i musikken til The Coal Porters. Sid Griffins soloplater er mer stillferdige, men lett å høre påvirkningen fra 60-tallet.

Spillelista er hentet fra album med The Long Ryders, The Coal Porters og Sid Griffin solo. Spill gjerne hele albumet Psychedelic Country Soul med The Long Ryders som kom på nyåret 2019. Da sees vi på John Dee.
